Lara grew up in Ireland, England, South Africa and Virginia and joined The Kitchen in Summer 2004.

Community Through Food Means…

“There is a communion of more than just bodies when bread is broken and wine is drunk. To me, ‘community through food’ means cultivating relationships. Every restaurant has a sense of place, and the folks in our community are represented by the collage of food on our menus. We not only learn from the people in our community what’s growing in their fields but also what’s growing in their lives. This respect for the farmers behind the scenes is translated into caring for guests who are enjoying the fruits of their labor.”
